This project is a multi-story residential complex boasting 3 stories underground and 36 stories above ground and it will become a landmark in the center of Mungyeong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The main focus of the design was to ensure structural safety against earthquakes and wind lateral forces. We planned the transition layers’ beam’s height to 3.0m to support the upper 30 floors of residential facilities and Structure Deliberation pointed out to meet the following conditions : lift the effective ground acceleration 0.176 to 0.21, make lateral rigidity and ratio of mass eccentricity below 48%, make material stiffness ration below 85%, apply special seismic load to secure the structural safety. Through the wind tunnel experiment result, there are no problems in lateral displacement and local wall stress by the influence of wind. We are confident that it is a project that has done its best to ensure both residential and structural safety. |
